Two famous Chinese tourist cities, Guilin in Guangxi and Leshan in Sichuan, have inked a tourism cooperation agreement that aims to offer more convenience to tourism enterprises and tourists.
The two cities will assign certain travel agencies to organize companies, students, senior citizens, and others to visit each other via incentive travel, health tours, and leisure travel. Meanwhile related departments such as tourism, heritage, traffic, and civil aviation will work with tourism enterprises to develop high quality tourist products.
Travel agencies in both cities will be able to organize tour groups directly to visit the other city without a transfer through local agencies. They will also be able to set up unincorporated branches in the other city.
Emergency and complaint handling mechanism will also be set up to offer cross-regional services to tourists.
